We have been really proud and happy to join the PlayStation Experience this year in Anaheim, Los Angeles! For those who missed the news, we had the chance to announce two important upcoming projects on PS4 and PS Vita:
Yes you’re not dreaming! Windjammers, one of the most entertaining game ever made, will be back soon on PS4 and PS Vita with brand-new features.
Windjammers is a fast-paced head-to-head arcade game where two players face off on a court, and throw discs at the opponent’s goal zone to score points. Originally released on arcade cabinet and NEOGEO, this game perfectly blends sports and fighting games.
• 5 game modes: ARCADE, INFINITE, LOCAL VERSUS, ONLINE QUICK MATCH, & RANKED MATCH
• Online Versus: for the first time ever, face other players worldwide in ranked matches and compete in the top leagues!
• 6 unique characters with their own special skills and super throws
• 6 playable environments, from sunny beach to crowded stadium
• 2 unlockable mini-games: Dog Distance & Bowling
• New HD menus
• Trophies and leaderboards
We have also been thrilled to announce the return of Ys Origin on PS4 and PS Vita.
Originally released in Japan in 2006, Ys Origin is a prequel to the Ys series and takes place 700 years before the events of Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished. With its captivating story, stirring soundtrack, and epic boss battles, it remains one of the best action-RPGs of all time!
This version will been enhanced with brand-new features and will be available in Japanese, English, and for the first time ever officially in French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
The game will be out on PS4 and PS Vita on February 21, 2017!
WONDER BOY: THE DRAGON’S TRAP
Last but not least, a demo of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap was playable at our booth during the event. The Lizardcube team was with us to show the progress of the game’s development and to answer some questions.
We’ve also released a new Dev Diary episode focusing on the music.
Enjoy some ear candy and learn more about the new soundtrack, completely re-imagined by Michel Geyre, involving dozens of classical instrumentalists and different folk subsets. Furthermore, this brand-new atmosphere and its supporting sound effects have been beautifully adapted by Romain Gauthier to the new game’s graphic enhancements.
We really would like to thank Sony for this great opportunity and to thank people who came to our booth during the event! It was really nice meeting you, and we are so happy to see how our two announcements have been warmly welcomed. Check out the video of our time there!
