Nick Vrenna, has been unjustly incarcerated in a really strange and scarying prison where the staff are performing unethical medical experiments upon the inmates.
All this is already quite strange but that's not the worst part of it...

Some day, a prison riot occurs and, at the same time, an experiment goes horribly wrong. Inside the prison everyone is really scared, even mad, and gets infected with a substance called Abuse. The latter transforms them into monsters. But, to be more specific, not everyone of the prisoners gets infected. Indeed, Nick seems to be immune and is the only one to remain in good shape.
In front of all these mutants, Nick takes a laser gun and goes on to single-handedly destroy all of them, stop the substance from spreading further, and escape from the prison complex. That's quite a harsh planning for just one man.
