DRM free + updates?

Hi
Perused the FAQ but it was still a bit unclear to me: are (all) the DotEmu games really completely DRM-free (same way as in e.g.GoG), ie. the re-installation of the game you've downloaded earlier from DotEmu will not require online authentication? The only time you need to be connected to your account is when you download the game for the first time?
Also, are the games always updated to the latest patch level, or do you have to apply some patches/updates after the installation?
Just seeing some interesting games in the catalog, for example the Cossacks collection...

You just have to be logged in to pay and download a game. You can install it on 1 or more computers because all games on DotEmu are really DRM free.
Moreover the games are automatically updated to the latest patch/updates

Just made my first DotEmu purchase, the CSC collection with all Cossacks and American Conquest games (even though I already own the first Cossacks + expansion packs in CD-ROM format, I just wish I would have known about the DotEmu offering before I bought that a few weeks ago).

Hi,
yesterday I have purchased Darkstar One. It is DRM free, but it isn't updated to the latest patch. The latest patch is 1.3.1416 but the game is 1.0.1270 - with all bugs of this early version included.
The installation of the official 1.3-patch is not possible, because in this way the game is no longer DRM free.
There is still another problem: After a few minutes the game (screen) starts to blur. There is no crack or other illegal things installed. The registry is clean in meaning of DSO entries (except the entries installed by dotemu). Anyway, the game is not playable.
What to do? Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
