Add more information to the games' pages, like the original year of release (this also helps users to determine if the game is likely to cause problems on their system or run fine).

Do away with the required billing information - if I buy games online using a valid PayPal account, what do you still need my address and telephone number for? I'm an honest customer but I don't like to give out this kind of information on the internet to each and every online seller I buy from, not even DotEmu. Other digital download services (e.g. GOG.com) work perfectly without requiring it, so why is this necessary at DotEmu.com? That's really a hurdle that's preventing me from shopping here at the moment. At the very least please explain to me in detail what my telephone number has to do with digital downloads and how - if at all - that gives you any security that PayPal doesn't.

Maybe you guys at dotemu should add more gameplay videos like the ones available in the appstore area. That's what I personally think. Smile

You guys are highly reputable and have great customer service. However you need better marketing that really plays upon that. I know that you all also supply games to GOG so maybe you don't want to compete too harshly. Regardless you guys deserve a better position.

On the downside many of the games that you carry that GOG doesn't are priced really high. Higher than Steam or Gamersgate (who also carry some drm free games).  For example you have Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines - with _no_ drm. That's pretty amazing and GG and GOG don't have it. I'm not sure if D2D's version has drm but it's still a massive coup to have. The downside is that you pay way more for it here than anywhere else (Steam, D2D). As soon as the price is 9.99 I'll buy it and I'm sure many others will too. Just get the word out!  Hopefully before GG and GOG are able to license it.

Again, you guys have the best customer service of any direct download service. I hope there's a way you can capitalize on it.

I wish you and your company all the best. Smile

VtM:B is 20$ on Steam, just like here. Well, 13.39 during the summer sale, but it's the first time i've ever seen it on sale, at least in more than a year. Pretty much the same chances that it would go on sale here, eventually.

I've seen it being 9.98 or less several times in the last year on various download services. However, my point is that compared to other services many of the same games are more expensive.

The point wasn't to dwell on one particular game/instance. I want to see dotemu do well and this is a point they should be made aware of.

Thank you for implementing a new checkout system without the need for "billing information" when you pay via PayPal!

Is there a chance that you will distinguish between voiceovers and subtitles when it comes to language support? For example, if  a game has the Spanish flag on it, I'd be interested to know if it's completely in Spanish, even with Spanish voiceovers or if it's e.g. just English voiceovers with Spanish subtitles. Seeing that the foreign language support seems to be the most unique selling point of DotEmu, I think it wouldn't hurt to supply a little more accurate information. You're on the right track already! Smile

They also have CHEAPER games than other sites! Off the top of my head, Postal 1, Jagged Alliance, Jagged Alliance Deadly Games, Jagged Alliance 2 Gold... are all cheaper on dotemu than on gog!!!

So, you know... Laughing out loud

Personally, I'm happy with their prices on this site. I buy here rather than on gog for every game now, they even have games with the latest patches here where gog does not.

Now you can get the UFO games cheaper on here than on gog.

Plus, I've seen the Vampire game on other sites, and it's the same price as on here. A game on sale for a weekend doesn't count for it's price. There are lots of pepople that buy games only during sales, yes, but there are many like me as well, who just buy the game because we want it, sale or not.

Hey, I'm not complaining. I just saw the UFO games go up and they are cheaper than other sites. Now that is great.

I agree with this. I sent in a support request and they answered right away. I got the problem solved in no time at all. Absolutely great customer service.

I have a suggestion.

You have "Noob" for a title on the forum. I think it's rather offensive and annoying to have such a title. Not everyone is into internet lingo, and would prefer something more proper(the other game titles on the forum seem more fitting, 8 bits player and all that). And from what I know, Noob is an insulting way to say it, where as Newb is the correct way to call someone new in a game.

I think maybe changing "Noob" it to something else would be more fitting, and nicer.

That's all Santa
