Ok firstly thank you soooo much for bringing R type back! its such an amazing game and you guys did an amazing job 10/10 on porting it over for the iphone!... but! i think you should release an update with the following change's.
1) you didnt add the secret level accessible from level 4 here is a video of the secret level you didnt include http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGFOhrANwts you need to watch the video the whole way through to see how to enter the hidden level a lot of people didnt know about this secret level but its a hidden gem that should of been included in my opinion.
2) Perhaps make an option to keep your powerups when you die but lower the score? i know the games a lot easier allready with unlimited continues im not complaining.. i have allready completed it but its still a pain when you have full powerups and you die.
3) the D pad is great but its a bit fiddly sometimes example: you press down and your ship will move down and left.. nothing major but on the last couple of levels it can be pretty annoying anyway of improving the d pad maybe make it bigger?
Just my suggestions anyway once again thanks for returning r type to the masses
