Absolum, a modern evolution of beat ‘em ups that fuses classic brawling combat with rich storytelling and vast replayability, will welcome heroes into its fascinating fantasy world on Oct. 9. The date was announced in a gripping new character reveal trailer during Opening Night Live.

Absolum’s release date trailer debuts Brome, a Mowlaï (humanoid frog) born with magical prowess. Brome travels by levitation, using his staff for melee combos, ranged and AoE spellcasting, and – of course – hoverboard-style gliding.

Crafted with passion by the dream team that redefined side-scrolling beat ’em ups, Absolum mixes top-of-the-class combat action with modern roguelite elements, bringing all the vibes of the fantasy arcade hits of the past into an immersive adventure set in the original world of Talamh.

Absolum is coming to PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on October, 9th 2025.
